Everette L Scott Jr Esquire

Everette L. Scott, Jr. is the Managing Partner for our New Jersey offices. Mr. Scott brings a wealth of experience in several areas of law. Formerly, Mr. Scott served as Of Counsel at the law firm of Spector Gadon and Rosen, P.C. in their Philadelphia, PA and Moorestown, New Jersey offices. At Spector, Gadon and Rosen, Mr. Scott served as Chairman of the Sports and Entertainment Law Department.
He was voted in South Jersey Magazine in 2009 as South Jerseys Top Attorney in ‘Sports Law’. Mr. Scott has negotiated numerous player contracts in the NFL, NBA and Major League Baseball. He is also responsible for negotiating endorsements, recording contracts and publishing contracts over the last 15 years. Mr. Scott has counseled numerous multimedia and publishing companies in corporate and transactional matters that impact entertainment and intellectual property areas.
Mr. Scott also has experience in corporate law, intellectual property matters, employment law, real estate matters and complex commercial transactions involving commodities and financial services. Some of Mr. Scott’s clients range from buying and selling oil commodities to developing commercial and real estate projects. Mr. Scott has created several television shows that are in production that involve several NFL players producing their very own documentaries and television shows. Mr. Scott regards the practice of law as an art that requires understanding client needs in an ever changing environment.
Active in the community, Scott founded the non-profit Stars for a Cause, Inc. which uses celebrity presence to assist in a variety of initiatives. He actively serves a Board of Director member for several organizations. They are the following: The 100 Black Men of New Jersey; Third Floor Media, Inc.; Urban Promise School; The Washington Township of New Jersey Economic Development Advisory Board and the Widener University School of Law Deans Minority Diversity Board. Mr. Scott is also a 4th Degree Black Belt and Master in Korean karate in Cherry Hill New Jersey.
Mr. Scott received his J.D. from Widener University School of Law and received his undergraduate degree from Howard University. He is also very active with the New Jersey State Bar Association and local bar associations. He has guest lecturer on a variety of legal topics at University of Pennsylvania, Howard University, Temple University and Widener University School of Law. Mr. Scott assisted the Black Coaches Association in setting up an Employment Hotline to talk to a he and other lawyers at the firm to discuss violations of the Civil Rights Title VII Act.
